-First, I would like to express our gratitude to His Majesty the King, who has shared his condolences at every opportunity.
-Then, I would like to express our sincere appreciation once again to the Dutch Government, in particular the MFA, the DoD and the Ministry of the Justice and Security for their work. And of course, to the Dutch people for their generosity and kindness.
-I would like to thank the Municipality of Rotterdam for organizing this reception in honor of the Netherlands USAR team.
-It is with great honor that I stand before you today to recognize the bravery of the Dutch Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) team who took part in the search and rescue operations in the recent earthquakes in Türkiye.
-The earthquakes that struck Türkiye on February 6, 2023, were among the most devastating disasters in recent history, causing immense destruction and loss of life.
-In the face of such devastation, the invaluable efforts of the Netherlands USAR team, along with other international rescue teams, gave hope to the affected people.
-I would like to take this opportunity to express our deepest gratitude to the Netherlands USAR team, whose selfless dedication to saving lives and restoring hope in the aftermath of the earthquake, serves as a shining example of international solidarity.
-Their commitment to aid those in need exemplify the spirit of cooperation and goodwill that unites our two nations.
-The collaboration between Türkiye and the Netherlands beginning from day one of the earthquake only confirmed the strong bond and friendship that exists between our two countries since 16th century.
-The twelve people and a dog saved will never be forgotten.
-The Netherlands USAR team has left an indelible mark in the hearts and minds of the Turkish people. We are forever grateful for their contribution.
-I am confident that this collaboration and human-to-human partnership between our people will continue to grow and prosper.
